Overview
- Restylane is a family of dermal, subdermal, and subcutaneous fillers utilized to fill in facial lines, wrinkles, folds, and volume loss by adding volume, tiny or larger, for smoother, younger-looking skin and contour almost anywhere on the body too.
- There are many different Restylane products. Each is designed to accomplish different goals in different areas of the face, hands, or body etc.
- Composed of hyaluronic acid, a substance naturally found in the skin, Restylane achieves natural-looking results and is very safe because it is natural and can be dissolved (very rarely needed, of course)
- Charlotte Plastic Surgeon, Dr. Vincent Voci, offers all the Restylanes: Restylane Eyelight for under the eyes, Restylane Kysse for the lips, Restylane L for under the eyes and finer lines almost anywhere, Restylane Lyft for deeper lines and grooves and Restylane Contour for volume in the cheeks primarily.
- Dr. Voci only uses natural hyaluronic acid fillers and only the very well known brand name Restylanes and Juvederms from the Dysport and Botox companies, respectively.

Administering Restylane
During your appointment, the areas of the injection sites will be marked and thoroughly cleaned prior to the treatment. With the comfort of nice strong topical numbing creams, the Restylane fillers will be injected into or under the skin using a fine needle. After each injection a cooling Arnicare (Arnica Montana) gel is applied to soothe and prevent bruising. Other than feeling a tingling sensation and some visible pinkness, maybe bruising in the areas of the injections, there are usually minimal other side effects. The result is immediate, which makes it so very safe and accurate. Swelling, usually mild, does then set in. Bruising can occer. Dr. Voci’s gentle expert technique helps to minimize that. Most patients are able to return to work with no downtime after their 30-60 minute Restylane procedure. Make up can be applied, if desired, after 3 hours.
What to Expect
The results following a Restylane injection will be seen immediately and can last up to 2 years with Restylane Contour. Six to 12 months with the others. Patients are generally thrilled with the fast-acting, visible results that these injections provide.
Alternative Fillers
While Restylane offers great benefits for patients seeking skin rejuvenation, there are other injectable fillers that may be considered as well. Some of these are comprised of materials such as collagen, polylactic acid, and calcium hydroxyapatite. During Your Consultation, Dr. Voci will discuss the various fillers and neurotoxins that are available today and work with you to understand Your Aesthetic Goals, so that the best treatment choice can be made. Dr. Voci prefers and only uses the Restylanes and Juvederms. He considers those the best and safest.
Bundle 4
The range of cost for a syringe of Restylane/Juvederm is approximately $700-$995. The overall cost will be determined based upon which filler how large an area and how many areas are being treated, based on the extent of wrinkles and lines and volume loss is being addressed. Dr. Voci will carefully go over all alternatives and match you goals and needs with your budget.
